| Hair color choices for a character drawing |
| For an upcoming amateur production, I have been asked to put together a character look using a wig and existing clothes. Most of the outfit is settled: a dark outer layer, a pale scarf, and very little room for other colorful accessories. I would like to compare a warm brown, a cooler brown, and a muted red before spending any of our limited budget. To describe the differences more accurately, I saved this link while exploring color analysis as a starting point for further reading. I would treat that as a starting point for questions, since a stage character does not have to follow everyday style advice. A sample looks different in the rehearsal room than near the stage, and I want the final choice to account for that. What order would you use for a daylight check, a costume fitting, and a short test under the intended stage lighting? A repeatable approach would help us explain the choice to the rest of the group and revise it if rehearsals reveal a problem. |
